Furlong and Porter Extend Contracts with Leinster and Ireland Until 2027

Prominent Props Tadhg Furlong and Andrew Porter Secure Their Rugby Futures with New Deals
The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) has confirmed that Tadhg Furlong and Andrew Porter have signed contract extensions with the Ireland national team and Leinster, lasting until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Tadhg Furlong, a three-time Six Nations winner, debuted for Ireland against Wales in 2015 and has earned 78 international caps.

He has played 149 matches for Leinster, achieving four Pro12/Pro14 titles and the European Champions Cup.

Expressing his excitement, Furlong described continuing his career with his home province as a 'dream come true' and is optimistic about the future for both Leinster and Ireland.

IRFU's Performance Director, David Humphreys, emphasized Furlong's world-class status and the strategic importance of retaining top talent like him within Ireland.

Andrew Porter, a key player for both Leo Cullen and Andy Farrell, began his Test journey against the USA in 2017 and has made 70 appearances for Ireland.

Porter has been instrumental in winning three Six Nations titles and participating in the Rugby World Cups in 2019 and 2023.

He has played 128 matches for Leinster, scored 18 tries, and is committed to contributing to the province and national team.

Asserting the significance of the extensions, Humphreys highlighted Porter's high performance levels and pivotal role in Irish Rugby, anticipating further successes in his career.

Both deals underscore the IRFU's commitment to maintaining top players within the domestic rugby system.
