South Dublin County Council unveils plans to transform historic estate into public amenity
South Dublin County Council has revealed an ambitious €20 million plan to convert the historic Lucan House estate into a major public park.
Acquired from the Italian government for €10 million, the 30-acre property along the River Liffey will undergo extensive redevelopment to include landscaped gardens, walking trails, and cultural facilities.
The project aims to preserve the site's heritage while providing a valuable recreational space for the community.
A masterplan is currently in development, with public consultations expected to commence later this year.
