Ireland and the UK are enduring a severe summer heatwave, with temperatures soaring above 30 degrees in many areas and Northern Ireland recording its hottest day in almost three years at 30 Celsius.

The prolonged spell of hot weather has prompted Status Yellow warnings across Ireland, increased wildfire risks, and placed pressure on emergency services.

Meteorologists expect the heatwave to break in coming days, but the current conditions have already set records across Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
