Boeing to Acquire Spirit AeroSystems Northern Ireland Plant
Move aims to consolidate manufacturing and improve oversight
Boeing has confirmed plans to acquire Spirit AeroSystems’ facility in Northern Ireland as part of a broader deal to take over its former subsidiary’s operations.
The move is intended to strengthen Boeing’s supply chain oversight and consolidate production of critical components, including those for its 737 MAX program.
The acquisition follows prolonged quality-control concerns and is expected to close pending regulatory approvals.
